About

Kristy lives on the suburban fringes of King County, Washington.

She is an Author/Writer/Historian, High Priestess of Search Engine Optimization (stop yawning, it’s not that boring, I swear), Occasional Substitute Teacher, Fair Weather Bicyclist, Esperantist, Volunteer, Incipient Violinist, Ed Troyer Enthusiast, Biographer, Rabid Researcher, Lapsed Grammarian, Veteran of the Airline Industry, mother-sister-daughter, and Future Resident of Bethany Pioneer Cemetery (in the very distant future…gulp!).  She is dedicated to “inspiring, educating, and outfitting people for a lifetime of outdoor adventure and stewardship”–at least on a part time basis (and if you know what that means, you know who you are). Yes, as a former English teacher she is a fan of several obnoxious points of grammar. Other than that, she prides herself as being easy to get along with–she’ll smile and ask all about your day, even while stirring the poison into your ice tea. Bwa ha ha… (serioulsy, whatever. You can’t tell me you’ve never wasted time watching the murder shows on the upper reaches of the cable T.V. dial. Unless you’re too busy watching Jersey Shore, in which case I absolutely dare you to cast the first stone. Dude, get over yourself.).

Her other website is for the local Japanese cemetery. The King County Landmarks and Heritage Commission recently announced it will leverage all content in the site into the nomination application to endow the cemetery with landmark status. And sure as hell about time too. Visit please–you are most welcome.

You seem to be quite the “occasional blogger” but what you write is quite interesting. Thanks for taking time from all your other activities to make the blogosphere a bit more informative!
